Heat agree to terms with Smush Parker

The Miami Heat have agreed to terms on a contract with Smush Parker on Friday.

Smush Parker started most of the past two years for the Los Angeles Lakers before falling out of favor with coach Phil Jackson and losing his starting job. He should be a nice fit for the Heat, who will likely use him at both guard positions. He should also provide a strong 3-point presence without having to worry about running the triangle offense. Smush Parker is believed to have agreed to a two-year contract for a portion of the Heat's $5.35 million mid-level exception, which is contingent on Smush Parker passing a physical on Monday.
